OK So I used to eat really crappy food.
My food was pumped with calories, pumped with sugar, but I didn't geg from it enough energy.
I would eat like a big cooked meal for lunch and then I would feel like heavy and stuffed,
and drained and I just wanted to go to nap, after lunch.
So I know I am not special, I know a lot of people want to go to nap after lunch but I
felt like it doesn't have to be like this because - it's the middle of the day, I just
woke up, so I don't want to go to sleep, I don't want to feel heavy.
I want to have more energy, I want to do stuff!
At some point I began feeling really really crappy.
And less energized and stuffed and full and I had a lot of stomach aches so I didn't feel
good.
Perhaps it's just the age or my body started to say, "OK, That's how much I can handle,
and you are pushing it."
So I knew that the problem was me eating too much and also eating a lot of fast food.
Ok, I need to eat less and I need to eat more healthy food.
So that's what I did.
But I ate only 1,200 calories!
So I really lost weight but I was so hungry at the end of the day that I can't explain.
And people would be like, "Oh wow you lost weight..." so yes, yes but I am so hungry,
I really want to eat!
So I thought OK I have to make a change in my diet.
So I was a vegan back then, But I didn't eat healthy, I know a lot of people think that
vegan people eat kinoah and even tofu and I don't know, like beans all day.
So I wasn't that kind of a vegan, I ate a lot of vegan fast food, like pizza, like veggie
burger like french fries, like a lot of pasta. and I didn't eat healthy.
so I thought OK I need to find something else, I mean, I can't feel that way anymore.
I heard about a really crazy diet that called 80/10/10 which is a raw vegan diet and that
means basically eating only fresh fruits, vegtables, and avoiding all kind of animal
products, and I was vegan so I didn't mind.
BUT also, avoid all kind of proccesed and cooked food.
So that was the catch for me.
I thought - It can't be healthy, I mean, no way!
It can't be healthy.
It can't be.
But I thought, OK, people do say that they feel better and they don't feel stuffed and
heavy after they eat.
And I said, OK, let's try to integrate more fruits, vegtables into my diet and see what
happens.
At that point, I didn't ate fruits at all.
I mean, I maybe ate one banana...
In the winter or something - but I never ate fruits, I never bought fruits, they were not
attractive for me.
I knew it's healthy but I didn't do it.
So I didn't eat a lot of vagtables, I didn't eat a lot of fruits, I didn't eat a lot of
seeds, definatly not.
I didn't eat a lot of green leaves..
No, it wasn't really a part of my diet.
So right from the first day it was good, it felt awesome.
I really felt energized, I felt that something is happening.
I coudn't eat a lot of fruits, so I ate...
I drank shakes, fruit shakes for breakfast, and I drank all kind of smoothies and, you
know, green juices.
It was fine and I ate salad at dinner.
of course I also ate bread and hummus but I ate also salad, so I started to feel much
better.
much better!
I mean, I didn't, I thought maybe it's, I don't know, if it's just because I beleived
it will be.
but I remeber I didn't really beleive it will be like that.
I just didn't have another, like option, I didn't know anything else that people said
would work.
So yeah, I was really surprised and I am really happy I did it.
Nowdays I am not 100% raw, I think I am like 70%-80% raw. because I really love food and
I want to eat whatever I want.
I don't want to eat a salad and like to fantasize about eating somehting else.
because that's not how I raw.
(It was a bad joke, I know).
I knew I wanted to eat more healthy, more greens, more vegtables, more fruits and I
do still want to eat more, but I am doing it gradually because I want to feel like I
am enjoyng evrey kind of meal I am having.
So if you feel like you don't have the ideal diet for you and something is not working...
I encourage you to explore because I definitely made a big shift in my health and in my energy.
And I really loved it.
But, I am not sure this diet fits for everyone because I don't know, I never tested it on
people, I know people go raw vegan and don't like it and return to eat cooked food.
So I don't think there is one diet that fits us all because I think we have, like different
preferences.
So that was my story, I wanted to keep it short so I didn't tell you about all kind
of other diets I've tried but I would say that this diet is perfect for me.
so far it was the best diet I have tried.
It's not a really - diet, I mean, I didn't, well I actually lost weight, and I am acctually
still losing weight but it's not a diet.
It's a diet in the kind of, you know, lifestyle, not a really diet - just to do it for two
weeks and lose weight and then to keep eating crappy.
Ok, last thing I want to say is that don't be afraid to, like change your whole diet
practically.
you can just do little changes each day and see what happens, how your body responds and
if you like it? if it makes you feel better?
Ok, so that it for today, I hope you enjoyed.
And also if you have questions about my journey or if you have questions about your jurney
- please ask, I would really love to hear it.
