Hi, I'm Terry David, a certified FranklinCovey
facilitator for the past 20 years.
On behalf of our president, Carmen Alcuaz-Reyes,
and my three co-facilitators for F.E.D. 2014:
Mennen Aracid, Tessa Mendoza,
and Christine Javier, let me invite you to FranklinCovey company's global event:
F.E.D. 2014 that is run
in more than 70 countries. F.E.D. stands
for: Facilitator Enhancement Day.
Mark your calendars: February 20,
at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Makati CIty.
The F.E.D. 2014 theme
is, "The Greatest Facilitator: From first impressions
to lasting change."
Why the greatest? Intriguing, isn't it?
Well, the F.E.D. series
has been designed to develop the full-breadth of your competencies--
Our competencies as facilitators.
As the old adage goes, "Instruction ends in the classroom
but education ends with life." At the end of a reflective
yet dynamic day, you will gain a deeper understanding
and better appreciation of your lifelong journey
as the greatest facilitator. This mind-set
is anchored in the See-Do-Get model
that certified FranklinCovey facilitators are familiar
with. In the SEE part,
Six competencies such as "vulnerability" and "modeling"
will be explored. In the DO part, 10 competencies
such as "crisis planning" and "closing" will be discussed.
In the GET part, hmm...
two competencies that I will not mention here— yes, to put you in suspended
animation—two competencies will cap the day
for us. I have been teaching,
training, and consulting for more than 40
years now in the Asia Pacific. And I still
profited a great deal from this
F.E.D. 2014, specifically from the topic
on vulnerability. This topic is anchored
on the bestseller, Daring Greatly,
by Brene Brown. Its subtitle could very well
be: "How the Courage to be Vulnerable Transforms the Way We Teach
and Facilitate." And there's a whole lot more!
18 very interesting topics
or competencies should keep you on your toes
for the big day—the F.E.D. 2014—
and beyond! Let me repeat
our special invitation for you—certified
FranklinCovey facilitators, potential FranklinCovey
facilitators, or simply curious friends
who want to take a journey in becoming the greatest
facilitator—to be part of this global event.
Learn, enjoy,
and network with passionate facilitators
who work with principles to make our world a better
place to live in.
Please remember: February 20, Thursday,
at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Makati City.
Bring your team along; it's more fun that way.
See you there at our F.E.D.
2014, a global event!
