What's going down everybody? How we doing? I'm Peter Moeller of Fairgrounds Wine & Spirits
and welcome back to FairgroundsTV. Somebody suggested on our YouTube channel that we try
the Widmer Brothers pitch Black IPA. It is 6% and it comes to us from Portland, Oregon.
Let's give this a check out, obviously it's going to be very dark. Hence the Pitch Black
IPA. It's definitely very, very dark. Nice tight, small bubbles for the carbonation and
a nice biege head. Let's give this a smell. Very IPA-ish, you're getting the hops and
the floral. Getting like a slight malty aroma as well. Let's check it out. Wow. Definitely
not as hoppy as it smells. It's got a nice, like, slight coffee, slight toasty cocoa kind
of flavor. It's not very hoppy to me. It's actually really good unless I'm just ready
for a beer after work. Ok, second sip, bitterness is hitting my tongue. But it's got this very
malty character to it. It's very good. Not too, some of those big flavored IPAs. This
very nice, very good, very smooth and it's worth a checkout if you like the black IPAs.
Love to hear what you think about it, ya know, check it out.
