Hi, I'm Gary for Expert Village. So we've let the eggs cool down a little bit so we
can handle them a little bit easier and now we're going to open up the ties from the hose.
It's very important to still do everything pretty carefully so that we don't disturb
the images that are on the eggs inside. The nice thing about the hose is that it doesn't
really stick to the egg, it just kind of lets the egg slide right out. We see that the image
is on the egg and now we go ahead and we can just peel it straight off. What happens then
is because we were so careful before about not letting the image, the leaf and the flower
move around on the egg, we have a nice clearly defined imprint on the egg. It's a really
nice effect also with the colors and the shape of the flower and leaf that was on the egg.
So we'll go ahead and open up another one. Again, you can see the effect, you can see
the difference it would make if we use different color dyes for the eggs and you can always
go out and buy different colored dyes to place in the solution. But we just try to make a
project that you can really do with things that you find in the home and we see that
the onion skins really did the job by making a nice dye that really was able to be absorbed
nicely by the eggs.
