Today we left early for work and unlike on normal days we took the so called deadhead flight.
We travelled as passengers this time to Hamburg.
We went to receive the new aircraft and then returned back as a working crew.
In Hamburg, we travelled for about an hour to the airbus factory.
We had a little reception there. We had a tour in the factory.
Actually, today is a big day for Finnair. We are receiving our newest aircraft and a new aircraft type.
It's the A321 Sharklet. We will with these final five A321 Sharklet deliveries become a full airbus carrier.
We had a really nice time at the aircraft. We were witnessing how they cut the red ribbon as we received the new aircraft.
And then, well of course, some photo shooting.
Then later on we went to prepare for the flight.
And went to the aircraft which was brand new. So it was great to go there because --
-- everything was so shiny and so clean and beautiful.
So we actually ended up taking off all the plastic floor coverings because it was so new.
None of us expected what happened today. Seeing the faces of the people who received the aircraft.
When you have the waving with the wings and thanking the company for building us an aircraft.
It is a very emotional moment actually.
It was really long but wonderful day. One of the best.
