At the School of International Development and Global Studies, we have a project, the
Danielle Naçu Scholarship. Now, this scholarship is available to all students within the Faculty
of Social Sciences and it is named in honour of Danielle Naçu who was a student, I taught
her, and she was a good friend, and she was someone who was very active on both environmental
issues as well as human rights concerns in Canada and internationally. She worked for
Citizenship and Immigration Canada and was an inspiration to all students. And the scholarship
is available to bilingual students at the undergraduate and graduate levels and it is
one of the potential recipients for anyone who donates to the Campus Campaign within
our school or outside the school. Something else available to members of the school and
to all people who donate to the campus campaign is a mobility bursary available to our undergraduate
and graduate students. The mobility bursary can be applied for by our students and will
fund students to go overseas or outside of their hometown and is very important to students
who would not be able to do that otherwise financially. And if you wanted to give to
the Campus campaign, you can give to me, and I'm always available in office 8020, or you
can just simply telephone 3417, so 34 is the double of 17, that's how I remember that...
that's the campus campaign. A world of ideas to change the world!
