Yeah, I'm really excited. I'm really proud. I worked really hard
the past four years. It went by really really really fast. So, when I arrived
as a freshman I really
didn't know exactly what I wanted to do, I mean I still don't, but I knew that I wanted to
have a career that had some sort of social impact
I did two informational interviews my sophomore and junior year
just to practice with people in the local Madison community.
I think that really helped...
they gave me interviewing tips, resume tips
professional associations that I should join
a lot of different suggestions that I otherwise would not
have thought of. It's important to research the individual on LinkedIn or Google or
wherever so you kinda have a background knowledge
and demonstrate that throughout your interview but
it takes a lot of time but it's a hundred percent worth it. I actually did two informational
interviews with the two of the staff members at the place that
at Upwardly Global where I'm now employed
and I think that was really helpful because they knew throughout the interview process
how genuinely
interested I was. I think now that I am
employed and have a plan that obviously feels good and
I have more confidence in myself
Go see faculty advisers. Go see career advisers
Um, talk to faculty. Talk to staff. Everyone is really
willing to help you and they've been really supportive for me over the years
I am
so proud to be a Badger. There's no where else I would want even a degree
from. I love this place.
