How you hydrate is the single most important thing to your health, and I mean that for
2 reasons: The first is, most people are looking to feel better and have more energy; that's
the Number 1 thing that people ask me about. Your hydration status is directly linked
to that. We see dehydration as little as 2% and you start to wane, you start to slump
a little bit.
The other piece, how you hydrate from a health perspective, is what you are drinking. Liquid
calories are the single biggest source of added sugars in the US diet, sugar-sweetened
beverages. How you hydrate plays not only what's happening on the inside, but to your
waistline, to your skin, what kind of glow you have. For me, the ripple effect of health
really starts with hydration.
