Have you heard the story of how the famous Italian tenor Luciano Pavarotti made the choice
to be a singer?
His father introduced him to opera when he was a little boy. He took to it with expertise
and enthusiasm. Because of his love for music, Pavarotti enrolled in both vocal lessons and
studies to become a teacher.
When he graduated he faced a dilemma: to become a teacher, or to become a singer? So he asked
his father what he should do. His father answered: “If you try to sit on two chairs, you will
fall between them. For life, you must choose one chair.”
Isn’t this true in your life as well? Have you chosen one chair? Is it the most important
chair?
Consider Christianity. If you try to sit on the chair of this world and the chair of true
Christianity, you’ll fall between them.
God maybe working with you, so commit yourself to follow His truth. He wants you to choose
that one chair that leads to life. Real life. That’s what Jesus taught when He said: “I
have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” (John
10:10)
So if you don’t want to fall between the cracks, learn God’s way and fully commit
your life to Him by choosing that exceptional chair.
