As you can see, I´m Leon Trotsky´s house
which was occupied by this revolutionary leader the last 15 months of his live.
The house adjoin at north with Rio Churubusco, at east with Morelos street

In the middle of 30 decades the house remained uninhabited until on March, 1939 Leon Trotsky rented it

On December, 1940 later Trotsky´s death, the president Lazaro Cardenas

in order to give to Natalia Sedova necessary resources to live
It was agreed that Natalia could remain there all the time what she would want
in fact it was her house until she die in Paris France, 1962.
The hose has 7 rooms, kitchen, dining room, bathroom, Trotsky´s studio,
Natalia´s office, grandson´s bedroom and the couple´s bedroom all of them witness of Trotsky´s humility.
The queen size bed was set like the original one
it was riddled with a hundred bullets in the morning of May 24, 1940
The painter David Alfaro Siqueiros leaded the group of twenty men, attempting against Trotsky´s life
According with the information given by the police this attempt was perpetrated
thank to complicity of Robert Sherlo Harte security chief of the house
who allowed them to break into the house with high powered weapons
and hundreds of bullets embedded in the walls
Siquerios from the door now is a window and the painter Antonio Puyol from the office´s door
and Luis Arenal from the other side, they shot 200 bullets over that embedded on bed, walls
The bullet marks can be seen today in the precinct walls
This attempt of Stalinist group tried to kill the revolutionary leader and burn his archives

They stayed alive due Trotsky and his wife remained hidden in one of house corners.
This room is where Trotsky spent many time working
