ALEX MACMURDO: Thank you for coming out today. My name is Alex MacMurdo. I’m a lecturer of communication here
at Georgia Highlands College, Paulding campus. And, I would like to welcome you to our second annual dress for success fashion show.
Today we held our second annual dress for success fashion show, and this was held during the “passport to success week” here on the
Paulding campus.
AUSTIN WOLFSCHLAG: Black and white dress, jacket, pumps. Taylor’s knee length dress is appropriate in all work
environments.
ALEX MACMURDO: We do it every year, and it’s a wonderful program that the faculty puts on for the students to help
them learn the tools and ideas necessary for them to be successful after they leave GHC and enter the business world, the working world.

DAVID MARTINEZ: The whole point of this was to teach students how to dress for an interview. How to look, you
know, how to present yourself in front of people.
EVAN HOGGS: A lot of people should have been here because its really good to know what to wear and what
not to wear to a job interview. So, yeah, it was a really good experience.
AUSTIN WOLFSCHLAG: She’s wearing a hoody, jeans, and Sperry’s.
ALEX MACMURO: The purpose of the fashion show is to exemplify to the audience what is appropriate to wear in a
professional job interview, and that was done by our students. And then, what is inappropriate to wear to a job interview, which was exemplified
by the faculty and staff, such as myself.
TAYLOR SUMMERS: It showed what to wear and what not to wear, and it gave examples. Everybody learns from
examples, so I think it was a very good way to learn.
ALEX MACMURDO: Students need this education. They need this emphasis on what is appropriate in certain
situations. You are what you look like, and that’s the first impression that your employers will get of you. So, I think it’s a great thing, and I’m really
excited and proud of our students for the job they did today.
