There’s a book. It’s called The Medici Effect, and it’s a book written by Frans
Johansson, a business leader who talks about the need for convergence. He calls it intersection.
So he talks about how major change and transformation happens in culture only when a clash happens
through intersection. Medici family welcomes people from different disciplines, really
engaging conversation about the future of Italy that ultimately became the Italian Renaissance.
Renaissance is necessary in the human condition. There is a strong need right now for renaissance
that’s not bound by any particular culture or continent. There is a need for a sincere
deep resonant renaissance of the human spirit. And this renaissance can only happen through
an intersection of everything, but certainly through an intersection of the sacred and
the secular, of faith and work.
