Hi, I’m Genna from Close To My Heart
and you’re watching Artbooking Made Easy.
In today’s episode I’m going to show you how to
incorporate Artbooking Shapes like titles and pockets
with the My Creations Pennant Frame.
I'll also show you how to use the finished piece in your home décor.
We’re going to start off
with just the simple, plain, Pennant Frame
and I’m going to show you how easy it is
to dress it up using the Artbooking Cartridge.
I’m using the Photo Mat 2
in the Winter Time Keys
found on page 76 of your Artbooking Booklet.
And you can see right here that
this is the shape that we’re going to be using.
When you cut this at 9 ½ Real Dial Size
this shape fits perfectly
over the plain Pennant Frame.
So you can see it just fits right on there
and fills up all that white space.
Now there’s lots of ways that you can use this in your home décor.
You could make a single Pennant Frame to hang in a chil, child’s room,
or you could prop one up on a mantle,
or on a bookshelf.
You could also, if you want a larger piece of art,
cluster three or more together on a wall.
Um, I think it’d be a really good idea
to make a different Pennant for each family member
and have kind of a photo collage there.
We’re going to take a look at a few of them.
I’m going to show you some of the ones I’ve made.
The first one we’re going to look at is um,
this wood grain Pennant art work.
It’s the My Girl, and you can see
that this wood grain kind of gives it a rustic feel here
that matches perfectly with the cowboy hat that she's wearing in the photo.
You can also see that I’ve made a paper rose down here
which gives it just an extra little bit of dimension there.
The next one I want to show you
is the Whisper, um, cardstock Pennant that I made.
You can see that I filled the inside of this Pennant
with just one large photo that I really wanted to highlight.
Now if you want to do that,
what you’re going to cut your photo at are
are 6 and a quarter inch dimensions
and it’s just a square there.
So 6 and a quarter inches and that'll fill up
that entire space there.
And it’s really versatile because
you could do a one large photo
or you could make a collage of several different photos
or some different paper pieces.
Um, and you can see and then I’ve just
added a little bit of sparkle here
with some pink glitter gems and a little touch of shimmer trim,
just to add a little bit of bling to it.
And then I finished it off,
just stamping a corner border with some sentiments
about snow, perfect winter time, um, creation.
The next one I want to show you is this
Sweet Girl Pennant Frame.
And you’ll notice that I used the same shape here,
the sha, same girl title that I used on the first one
that we looked at.
But with the Ivy Lane papers it gives it
just a perfect little sweet girl feel for it,
perfect for a little girl's bedroom
And you’ll see again that I used the paper roses down here.
Again just for that little bit of extra dimension.
And then I finished it off
with just some simple journaling here,
her name and the year, so I can always remember when this was taken,
Because you’re cutting out your own frame
from any kind of paper that you want
it’s really easy to make this fit anything that you want,
little girl’s bedroom, a more rustic feel,
winter time play, it’s really versatile
and basically your imagination is the limit.
So whether you’re decorating a country cabin
or a sweet little girl’s bedroom
add a bit of customized flare with these Pennant Frames.
