I had 10 years of Kung Fu...
Right, right. In my lifetime of training, about, 10... at least 10 years of Kung Fu.
So, when I worked with Bruce Lee... uh, the first time was in...
Fist of Fury (Chinese Connection).
I played a young Japanese man.
The part with the sign: No Dogs or Chinese Allowed.
I said, you want to go in? Only if you pretend you're a dog, then I'll walk you in like one.
Then I got the *** kicked out me by Bruce...
The second time was... making Enter the Dragon, where Bruce needed some tumbling movements.
So they called me... to help out, and do some of these movements for him, simple as that.
Doing back flips for Bruce, and any tumbling that needed him to bounce up right after.
Those type of movements that I
body doubled for him.
Sometimes when I did these movements, Bruce also gave me his opinion...
He said, when you flip... for example, after I flipped I have to kick.
But, he said while I'm in mid flip, I have to KICK. Have to kick him.
So my training for this movement was to flip, and kick at the same time, then land and stand.
Originally, I was asked to do a flip, then a kick. After I flipped then kick.
Bruce said, NO, you kick while flipping. It has to be HOT!
Oh oh ok, I said, I'll try it. And one out of many was OK.
