Hello there Simon from My Tech Tradie with another how-to for your Android device. Today
I am going to show you how to connect your Android device to your wireless network. For
this you will need to know the name of your wireless network and its password, if you
don’t know them have a look for a a sticker on your wireless access point or router.
For this how-to I am using a tablet however if you are using a phone the steps are pretty
much the same your screen will just be a little bit smaller.
Go into your device and launch the settings app. This will depend on your device however
it is generally with all the other apps.
In settings look for the word Wi-Fi. If the toggle button is off tap it on and your Wi-Fi
will turn on. Once on tap the word Wi-Fi. You should then see a list of wireless networks
that are in range. If you find the name of yours just tap the refresh button.
Once you have found the network name tap it and you will then be prompted for your password.
Now enter the password and hit connect. The device will take a few seconds and then you
should be connected. If there are any issues this is where you will be prompted on screen.
Once done you should be able to access the internet.
