The Conversations Inbox is the messaging system in WebCampus. Its latest version is better than ever!
To access the tool from anywhere in WebCampus, click the Inbox link found in the Help Corner.
If you prefer to stay in the Dashboard or in your course while simultaneously opening your Conversations Inbox,
right-click or option-click on the Inbox link, from the menu you can select to “Open link in new tab” or “Open link in new window.”
If your Conversations Inbox remains unchanged, it is time to upgrade.
To do this, on the far right side of the screen near the top, click the Help drop down menu and select “Try New Conversations.”
Let’s continue by introducing you to the new Conversations Inbox. Across the top is the tool bar.
The All Courses drop-down menu lets you filter your Inbox by course.
The Inbox drop-down menu lets you filter your Inbox by message type. Next is the Compose message button.
Followed by the Reply button, the Reply all button, the Archive button, the Delete button, and the More Options drop down menu.
Further right is the Search bar, which you can use to search for a course, group, or individual.
The Conversations Inbox is divided into two windows.
All sent and received messages appear on the left window in chronological order;
newest messages are on the top and oldest messages appear towards the bottom.
Unread messages are identified with a blue dot next to the message. If there is a message you would like to mark as unread,
hover your mouse next to the message. When a white dot appears, click on it. On the right is the messages Preview window.
To reply to a message intended for a single recipient, click on the reply icon underneath the timestamp.
To reply to a message intended for more than one recipient, click on the Gear icon and select Reply-all from the drop-down menu.
Also from the Gear icon, you can forward and delete a message.
To start a conversation, on the toolbar, click the Compose button. In the compose message window,
select the course from the drop-down menu. In the To field, add the recipients by typing the individual’s name or by clicking the
Address Book icon to select the individual or group from the course roster.
Enter a subject line in the Subject field. Type your message in the message field. Click the paperclip icon to attach files.
Click the media icon to record or attach an audio or video comment. And when you are done, click the Send button.
