Hi there, I'm Becca Bryant, an Electrical Design Engineer for Williams Sound. Here today to talk about the Digi-Wave Dock,
the newest in our line of accessories for our Digi-Wave transceivers and receivers.
Now, the Digi-Wave Dock is designed to be the central audio hub for your Digi-Wave system.
Um, and it's compatible with Digi-Wave 2.0 and newer DLT 100 transceivers and DLR 60 receivers.
The reason that you need 2.0 or newer is because one of the great new features
on these transceivers is that we've added audio output and input capability in the 30 pin connector on the bottom.
That means that you can take advantage of the fact that the dock not only charges but it provides RCA and XLR inputs and outputs
to the 30 pin connector on the bottom of the trans, transceiver which then mixes it before it transmits to the rest of the group.
This allows you to add great audio content to your already versatile Digi-Wave communication platform.
It means that you can not only hold a two-way conversation between any two people in up to a group of a thousand transceivers
but that you can add in the AV from your tablet computer, from your television, from your, um, soundboard or mixer
uh, with, as easy as connecting the cables up.
On the back of the Digi-Wave Dock you'll also find a switch which says either "Auto" or "Manual".
One of the great features about the docking station is that it sends a signal to the DLT 100 transceiver
letting it know that it's been docked in the station
this will automatically disable both the internal speaker and microphone on your Digi-Wave transceiver.
In addition to this, if you put the dock in "Auto" mode it tells the Digi-Wave transceiver to turn on when the dock powers up.
This means you can connect the power supply on your Digi-Wave Dock to the audio at your pro AV rack
and automatically turn it on and start transmitting as soon as the rack powers on for the day.
This allows you to basically create a base station transmitter out of your portable DLT 100 transceiver.
That's it for the basics on the Digi-Wave Dock.
We're going to make another video which talks about additional applications that you can get into.
New ways to interconnect your Digi-Wave system to expand its capabilities
using the Digi-Wave Dock as your central communications hub.
