Hi I'm Amy. I'm coming at you with a salad tip. I'm doing the three-day
refresh. Today is day 3 and I love doing the 3 day refresh because it seems like it really
centers myself it helps me be reminded about what I really should be eating and
it's so easy to make a salad and a throw all this food on to it that we
really don't need. Then all of sudden you're having a salad that's a huge amount of
calories. So on the three-day refresh I am supposed to have a cup of vegetables. Well I have
a cup of cucumbers, yellow peppers, tomatoes that's a cup. The spinach and kale on the bottom I
don't count that there's nothing wrong with extra spinach and kale. So I've got
a nice big generous salad and then I should have a teaspoon of fat I have a
choice, really for the 3 day refresh I don't have a choice, I am
supposed to use extra *** olive oil as a fat. so I'm going to put on a
teaspoon of extra *** olive oil on my salad and a freebie is balsamic vinegar
and I have a herb balsamic vinegar I get at the store I actually put a
teaspoon of that the right there I just made a healthy dressing. my normal go to is
a fabulously made dressing Salad Girl. I love their dressings but you know what I
get into this habit of taking this bottle and just putting it on my salad
not measuring it and before I know it I'm adding a lot more fat on my salad
and when I'm trying to eat healthy and make healthy choices so I'm coming to use
reminder to be deliberate to know what you're putting on and to measure and
just have times when you know what a few times during the week just use some
extra *** olive oil use a teaspoon couple times during the week do some
salad dressing mix it up don't get stuck in a rut because before you know it
you're taking on extra calories that are hidden
and when you have extra calories that are being hidden then all of a sudden you are adding
pounds that unfortunately don't hide so there's my salad dressing tip for you
today have a great day
