Woman spent $10,000 on a shopping spree to heal broken heart claimed credit card had been stolen
"I got dumped.....I want to go shopping! Wow!"
"This, this, and this...I'm buying them all!"
"The new hair style puts me in a good mood"
35 year-old woman Huang in Taipei lost her job and her boyfriend in the beginning of this year.
She went on a shopping spree to heal her broken heart.
She used 6 credit cards from 4 different banks and swiped them 60 times. They include shopping, hair cut, and taxi rides.
She came up with a crazy solution after she was unable to pay back the $10,000 credit card debt.
"My credit card was stolen and someone has made unauthorized charges with it."
The bank called the police after matching her signature with the receipt in the store. The surveillance video also caught footage of her shopping in those stores.
***-Lin district prosecutors office suspended her prosecution for fraud as long as she pays back her debt.
In addition, Huang still needs to pay $1,500 as a fine for the suspension of the prosecution and receives 6 hours of civil law education.
