Hello this is Miguel Gomez with AIDS.gov.
I’m at U.S. Conference on AIDS with one of my colleagues from New York.
And before I tell you more about the Facing AIDS Campaign, I'd like Tree to introduce himself.
Hi, My name is Tree Alexander, and I’m from Brooklyn New York.
One of the things that we’ve asked Tree to do,
and we’ve asked lots of other people here at the USCA conference,
is actually to go into this photo booth,
and take a photo of themselves and upload it to our AIDS.gov Flickr account.
Because what they're doing, is holding a sign that's saying,
"I'm Facing AIDS.." and they're saying why they're Facing AIDS.
And we’re going to put a collage of all those photos together in a video,
to share and let people know that people like themselves are fighting AIDS,
and want to fight discrimination and make sure people are getting an *** test.
You can download one of these Facing AIDS pieces of paper and write why you're Facing AIDS.
And what we're asking you to do:
On World AIDS Day (Dec. 1st), please switch out your photo on your profile on your social network site,
and show yourself holding one of these signs, and also perhaps with an ***/AIDS ribbon,
and actually explain to folks where they can go, to get an *** test.
I know Tree is about to get into the booth to do it himself.
But, we really encourage you to go to AIDS.gov,
and learn more about what we’re doing to Face AIDS this World AIDS Day.
This is Miguel Gomez and Tree working with AIDS.gov.
Thank you very very much. See you at World AIDS Day!
