Hello, my name is Penny Smith and I'm a North Carolina real estate broker. Today I'd like
to talk to you about the topic of renting furniture for an open house. If you feel that
you need to put something in the house, keep it simple, keep it small. Do not put big bulky
furniture in a house. Do not put it in every room of the house. Put it only in the family
room, as well as maybe in the dining room. Put a few things around that might appear
to be able to sit in a window, that would give the room definition. Keep it very simple,
keep it very light. Do not put a whole lot inside of an open house because people will
come through and you will have to move it back out. I wouldn't recommend putting too
much furniture in there especially if you have to rent it. I wouldn't fill any bedrooms
and I wouldn't fill any bathrooms with furniture. Although I would put towels, soaps that smell
good, that will leave a fragrance in the bathroom. This type of thing will make, will do just
fine for a bathroom. Thank you and those are my recommendations for renting furniture to
put in an open house. I hope you have a good day!
