Pingar provides Taxonomy Generator that help you to generate taxonomy automatically.
What you need to do is to provide a set of documents
The taxonomy generator will then extract concepts such as names of people, organizations, locations, etc from the documents
It will also extract concepts based on Linked Data such as Wikipedia, DBpedia and Freebase
Moreover, it will also disambiguate clashing concepts
Such as whether "Apple" is related to fruit or the Apple Company
Finally a taxonomy is generated
In a commonly used SKOS format
Once the taxonomy is generated, you can review it using the Pingar Taxonomy Editor
A taxonomy is a parent-and-child structure that you can browse in the editor
For each node in the taxonomy, you can defined the preferred labels and the alternative labels
After reviewing the taxonomy, it can then be imported into the Pingar API for taxonomy based keywords extraction
Or it could be used for taxonomy based classification
