The new PS collection is a celebration of people who live in big cities. The products
are all about flexibility, multi-fonctionnality, being able to rearrange and be creative with
the products. We created this collection with designers from all over the world. I hope
you enjoy the collection and let's get on the move !
The idea for this table was to make a table that is universal enough to use it all around
your house. Construction is really reduced to the minimum you can have. If you move or
if you need to store away the table you can easily fold it up and take it away.
The theme of this collection was small space living. We designed posters, the ones behind
me and two clocks and a standing clock, the one standing here. We thought about giving
the interior an extra layer, color, transparencies, patrons, in order to create a nicer and better
living experience.
People are afraid of buying big things for their homes. So I asked myself why. Maybe
because they don't get to choose the color. So I decided not to use colors and to let
them choose their own colors instead. The wardrobe comes to life with the clothes people
store inside, with their personalities. Progressively, this container will turn into a way to express
themselves. When you buy the wardrobe, it also comes with a bag of colored "pixels"
that you can use to customize it.
I very much liked the lighted bedside table by Tomek Rygalik that serves as a light and
also as a way to keep magazines or different objects. I also like the mirror with colored
lines, which are used as a pattern on textiles, carpets, cushions, in order to have a total
coherence in your interior design.
I absolutely loved this pendant lamp, with this very simple but clever opening system.
A future IKEA best seller!
The collection is intended for young urban people, but I think everyone can relate to
the idea of movement it conveys implicitly.
