I would say that a big shero of mine is Jessye Norman who's an American soprano. She's an
African-American soprano.
Because she...
And actually, also Leontyne Price, they paved the way for singers of color to be able to enter into the world of opera.
My uh, college roommate Jasmine. And she's just like maybe one of the most resilient people
I've ever met. Like she grew up in a really kinda bad neighborhood in L.A. and now she's
graduating college, she has a good job, and she's doing really well.
She just... no matter happens she always finds a way back on her feet. Keeps going.
She survives and I think that's really inspirational.
My shero is, Pam Grier because she is a proud, and empowering black woman.
She is my grandmother. She passed away about a year ago. Um, but she had 13 children, and
raised them all and they're all alive and healthy.
We have over 100 family members, and so I'd say she's probably the most inspirational person.
Um, you know she went through The Great Depression and everything so if she can get through that
I can get through anything.
My older sister, Jasmine, because she raised me and that really shows how, um, she's very
responsible and, you know, very caring because she didn't have to in the first place yet
she took that role. So, yeah.
She's my mom. Um, only because, like, she taught me to trust your struggle and, like,
to work through everything and, like, be accepting of others, and not really be judgmental of
everything. So she just, I don't know I bring that with me everywhere I go, like, lessons in life.
