How To Tie a Tie: The Half-Windsor
Video shot in mirror-image
Start with the wide end of the tie on your right
With the wide end of the tie hanging
14 to 16 inches lower than the narrow end of the tie.
Cross the wide end of the tie across the narrow end.
Bring the wide end of the tie back behind the narrow end
to the right
Bring the wide end of the tie through the loop around your neck,
making sure the wide end of the tie ends up on the left.
Cross the wide end of the tie across the front.
Bring the wide end of the tie up through the loop around your neck
Finally, bring the wide end of the tie through the knot.
Tighten the knot.
Slide it up to your neck.
And there you have the half-Windsor.
