In this video we're going to show you how to use the error tab in Bar-i's inventory
software to solve any counting errors before sending us your completed counting tool. We
can see by looking at the numbered instructions the error checking is the stage number seven
that we need to complete after we're done with our counting. So let me show you the
two types of errors which the error tab will help us find.
The first one is a vessel input error, if the input is not recognized for a new vessel.
If I enter a bad barcode you'll see the barcode is transferred across here to column E. Another
option is if you don't use the correct procedure for entering a new product and simply type
it in, once again the wording will be transferred across here. But it will create an error.
The second type of error we need to catch is counting input errors, such as if we're
counting two bottles of Absolut here and then we pressed the R key by mistake. That would
create a counting error. So let's have a look how those show up in our error tab.
The first error is this vessel error. You see that the vessel name I've entered has
been reproduced and this cell here is telling me the error can be found on row 457 of the
counting tool. So checking on row 457, I can correct this error by selecting an item from
the drop-down menu, which is one of five different methods I can use to change the line item.
Then we'll come back to the Error tab, see that this error has been solved, and see our
second error reproduced here. Again, I can use this information to see where my error
is occurring. Come back to this line 478, remove the R, and then once again when we
come back to the Error tab we'll see the error has now been removed.
So that's how to use the error flags to solve any counting errors. Thank you for watching
this video.
