I started playing music when I was about nine-years-old
my dad is a musician
so we grew up in the middle of nowhere in a little state called Idaho
and he had a recording studio in the basement
he wrote songs for The Carpenters, Art Garfunkel, Anne Mary...
and we got to be around when we where kids, my brother and I
then in high school I started a band and we
started playing at the local bars and all the hangouts and that's when I figured out
that that's was what I wanted to do with my life
for better or for worse
the difficulties being a professional musician they can be
insurmountable, devastating
I guess because it's really hard right now I think
to get in front of people and get enough on what you are doing
it's also difficult to make money
because of the way the market is, it really depends on where you are
everybody wants to play so it is easy to get musicians to play
it doesn't mean they're good, it doesn't mean their music is any better it just means
that
everyone wants that opportunity to play so
you know there's a lot of difficulties, I am more focused on
the positives, if you have asked me a few years ago
I'd probably told you three hundred different things I was having difficulty with
it's really challenging, but the cool part is
people now are much more accepting
eclectic music, not having a cohesive theme
that can make sense in a whole album
you can do a lot of different stuff which is exciting
