Hi! My name is Nick. I'm a professional body piercer over at Studio City Tattoo in Studio
City, California. On behalf of Expert Village, we're going to go over the different heal
times for the different body piercings. Starting over here, we have different ear piercings,
both lobe and cartilage. Cartilage is a little more dense than the ear lobe, so it's going
to take a little bit longer to heal; anywhere from 3 months to a year. The ear lobe can
take about 4-6 weeks. Same here. Ear lobe about 4-6 weeks and cartilage being about
3 months to a year. The surface piercing in front of it can take anywhere from 2-4 months
to fully heal. A navel piercing can be a little bit longer of heal time as well because of
the placement on your body, kind of gets a little bit of abuse on occasion, so it can
just take your body a little bit longer to heal. About 3 months to a year. Your nose
here, your septum, and your nostril piercings. This takes about 6-8 weeks, whereas the nostril
takes about 8-12 weeks. Eyebrows take about 2-4 weeks to heal. You want to definitely
avoid sleeping on these. Oral piercings have a lot of blood flow to them, so they typically
heal pretty fast. Anywhere from 8-12 weeks on different types of oral piercings on the
lip. The tongue is even faster to heal with about 6 weeks for the full complete healing
time. *** being a little more dense is going to take a little bit longer, about 3
months to about 12 months of full complete healing time on that one.
