What up youtube.
Topaz Yates back with another album review.
This time to Amine Good For You.
Yes that is how you pronouciate it based on how he says it himself.
Overall I am giving this one the yellow light because it isn't bad but
it comes off as background music until I forced myself to understand the concepts and lyrics.
Thats where the substance comes into play.
For those of you who are new to him, he is XXL freshman for this year.
You could classify his music in with the likes of D.R.A.M and Lil Yachty.
Basically the positive music for the youth amoungst this commercialized trap age.
As he emerged on the scene with Caroline, which is on this album.
That song definitely stands out but in no shape or form that great.
But lets break this one down sstarting with my favorite songs, first being Spice Girl.
Now this song was interesting as he is trying to define a woman he wants based on Spice
Girl songs.
Whats dope about that is that most of his generation has no
clue who the Spice Girls were.
One of
the biggest pop acts back in the day.
My thing is a better emcee would
have
made
better references.
