It's me again, believe it or not, today we're going to show you how to put your wig on.
And there are tricks to it, like there is in everything in life honey. Anyway, here's
the wig, now it's kind of like I've got this thing now what. Look, inside the wig is most
important, depending on the type of cap that you bought, this cap is a monotop cap, this
is our monotop jazz, and there's openings. On the top you'll see that there's hair all
the way around, here's the little side, your ear goes here. In the back there is a way
to either tighten or let loose your wig and they're with this little bitty velcros, some
of the wigs might have a little ribbon and click. But if you feel this velcro when you
get it, it's just thin as a rail, but yet it's really really strong. And then this is
mole skin so it will help your head and it won't hurt. We're going to do a closer video
of the inside of the head and what all pieces mean for you. But right now we want to get
to putting it on. The first thing you're going to do, and I do it with all of them, is just
shake the tar out of it. You don't have to kill it, just shake it a little bit. Why?
Because we are going to aerate the wig. A wig is unlike your hair in the fact that the
style and the perimeter, the whole curl pattern is put into the wig permanently because it
has memory. So we want to loosen that. The worst thing you can do is pat down your wig
and make it look like a helmet. So you're going to take your thumbs and you're going
to put them on the back, the nape, the monotop the bangs, the top of the hair is toward your
tummy. And you're going to put your thumb there and your thumb there. Why? It's really
simple because if you put them there you don't want these velcros to move. So you're going
to put them right there. Now, I kind of open up the wig. Now this sounds silly, but it
really works. When you put the wig on, I want you to put it like at the middle of your head,
almost like its a cosic cap and the reason is that way it won't pop off when you try
to pull back the back. Turn around just a little bit. You're going to take that back
and pull it straight down over your head. See how I'm getting it to fit. This is most
important guys. I want your ears to be free. Remember what I showed you about measuring,
I want there to be a finger in between the wig and your ear top, right in there so it
doesn't hurt for you. And the same on this side, your ears are always free and there's
a little temple tab, it's a little point and it has stays in it, I want those stays to
be kind of straight, curved in just a little, see here's your ear, here's the point, and
when you get both points on, put your fingers through and it should look like an arrow going
straight through your head from one point to the other, now we're going to work our
way up and you're going to find your hairline. Again, one two three four and that's where
your natural hairline is. Now the great thing about that is, once your bangs are fixed perfectly
they never grow so you can always go, if your bangs work, like mine, if my bangs work here,
I know that it's on properly. Same thing for Lorene. Now, what sets us apart from everybody
else is my signature hairline. And this is how you bring it out. It really makes the
hair look so natural, you pull on the hair. See that, and I'm pulling the wig out. This
is so key, lick your fingers, and I want you to rub up against the inside of the hair.
I have cut you, if you can turn your head a little bit love, I have cut you all of these
little bitty hairs all the way around your hairline so that when the wind blows or you
take your hand and you pull your hair back, I'm bald but see it doesn't look like it,
it doesn't look like I have a wig on because of all those little hairs that we've cut for
you and we've made them permanent so they'll stay that way. If you go out in the rain Lorene,
or if I go out in the wind at the beach and the hair is blown, you still see the hairline.
So this is key, pull the hair out by the ear tab, lick your finger, run it up and pull
those little hairs out. And then you're going to do it on the other side, pull out the hair
with the hair, lick your fingers, and go like this, and pull out those little bitty hairs.
I'm telling you honey, it makes a world difference, just in your confidence level, because I know
when I'm out in the parking lot talking to somebody and the wind blows, number one my
hair is not going to go anywhere and number two they don't see that awful ugly hairline.
It looks like real hair, like real people. And that's it, we'll give you some wig tips
later, the best thing to do is just brush it with your little brush, use your fingers,
see how I've got them up like this, finger it the way you like it, and away you go. Get
up, suit up, show up.
