and if you hear some banging and booming and hammering going on
in the background
i live in a subdivision where we have houses being built
so thats what all the banging and everything is
so you may hear some loud equipment
and back up whistles
and things from time to time
so i just thought i would mention that
it may be going on for the next few months
chain 1
in the next chain 1 space
work three double crochet
thats 1

chain 1
in the next chain 1 space work three double crochet

and in the final space
this is the chain four from the previous row
we will work one, two stitches
the last stitch i am going to work
right through the chain just like that
working a double crochet
we have completed five rounds
the next row will be the same as the previous row
this is where we work a chain four
turn
or you can turn and chain four
it doesn't make any difference
work three double crochet in the next chain 1 space
chain 1
work three double crochet
and i will be posting a symbol chart and written instructions
on my crochet blog
you can go to www.crochetgeek.com
for written instructions
you will continue repeating these two rows
for how ever big you want to make your square
now to complete
you will wrap the yarn over your hook
pull through
and you will cut the yarn
pull through give it a tug
and this completes the square
this is going to show how to sew in the tail
and i'm going to make a little knot right here in the corner
like that
and i'm weaving it between the stitches
going down here in this direction
and i'm going just right through the fibers
and back in the opposite direction
and then i found that i like
this way a little bit better than just weaving the tail between the stitches
because we don't want this coming apart
i have had people over the years
bring afghans to me and think they were coming apart
when really it was just the tail coming out because they had washed it
thats something to keep in mind when you are giving something that is crocheted to someone
to let them know if the tails come out to sew them back in
because it is possible that they could come out
now i'm going to weave them over in this direction
right in here
and then make another knot
and then make them close
so they go down in between the stitches
and then the knot is hidden
and when i pull it like that
you can pull it over
and the knot is hidden between the stitches
and then cut off the yarn
and thats sewing in the tail
