I like to keep score when I play solitaire because of the fact that you're not going
to win every time that you play solitaire. But if you say, okay, I'm going to play a
group of four games today and then the next time I play a group of four games of this
type of solitaire, I'll compare this score to that score. Okay. How do you score Fourteens?
Well, I submit that what you can do is, once you have a busted tabloid, you count the remaining
cards that are on the tabloid. In this case, it is four, plus two, plus four, plus four.
That give us fourteen. Lower scores are better when you score this way. So if I'm playing
a group of four and given that this game isn't that hard, if I'm playing a group of four
games, I'm going to look to score below 60. And if I score below 60, I'm really happy
with myself. And what do you score for yourself if you win? A big fat zero. Yea!
