# Thomas and his friends! #
Once upon a time on Sodor, the Fat Controller gave Thomas a very important job.
"I need you to go to the Docks now to pick up some new parts for Percy.
He can't work properly until he's had them fitted and people need to get their post. So it's very urgent."
"Right away, sir," peeped Thomas as he sped off to pick up the delivery.
When Thomas arrived at the Docks, he found it was very busy.
Lots of vehicles were loading and unloading big crates and moving about in a hurry.
Thomas didn't know where to begin looking for Percy's parts.
"Excuse me," he asked a stressed-looking driver in his van.
The van zoomed past. Thomas sighed.
"Cranky!" he called up to the tall crane. "Where is the crate with Percy's parts?"
"How should I know!" replied Cranky moodily.
Thomas rolled towards a large pile of crates he'd seen being taken off a ship.
None of them seemed to have labels on.
Peering at them more closely, the blue engine suddenly spotted something.
"Ah-ha!" Thomas pipped. "It's a green crate. Percy is green so that one must be for him!"
Thomas' driver and a few dock workers helped to load the crate onto Thomas
and he sped off to the Steamworks so he could deliver Percy's parts to him.
"Oh good, Thomas, you're here!" smiled Percy as his friend puffed in. "The post is so late already!"
The green crate was quickly taken off Thomas and opened up.
But inside were apples, not Percy's parts.
"Thomas, these are not what I sent you to pick up!" cried the Fat Controller.
Thomas was very confused.
"I thought I'd got the right crate," he replied.
"What am I going to do about the post?" Percy asked with a sigh. "Now it won't be delivered today."
It was just then that Thomas had a great idea and he shared it with the others.
Thomas chugged along the main line, his carriages filled with Percy's post.
On the way back to collect the right crate, Thomas and his driver were doing Percy's mail rounds.
When the letters and parcels were safely delivered, Thomas and his driver went in search of the right crate.
After asking lots of people at the Docks and having a good look round, they finally found the box with Percy's parts in.
"I'm a bit sad," Thomas said to his driver.
"Why?" he asked.
"Because I really enjoyed doing Percy's post rounds and now he'll be able to do them for himself," chuckled Thomas
as he made his way back to the Steamworks.
