Hello everyone! This is Gary Sloan, I'm inspecting a 1950's home in Fairburn, Georgia. Up in the roof
taking a look and you can see accumulation of leaves in a valley here and of course the
gutters are completely clogged as well. Over there we see a down spout flexible down spout
that's terminating about 3 feet off the ground so it's discharging all the water right next
to the foundation and that's not desirable. Ventilation is very important. You see we
have some turbine vent there coupled with ridge vents. Here's kinda close up view of
a ridge vent. They do move a lot of air. This particular one has been crashed to this end
and you can see the plug is out of the end of it. Probably that gives direct access to
the attic for vermin, squirrels, birds, bats that sort of thing.
