Hi everyone. My name is Amy, and we are going to be talking about fractures, dislocations,
springs or strains. It is not necessary to know whether or not the injury is a fracture,
dislocation, spring or strain since the care provided is the same. Regardless of the injury,
you want to, if possible, mobilize the injury. Sometimes you can tell whether or not a bone
has been broken if there is visible deformity to the limb, or if you hear a snapping or
a popping or a grating sound. If you want to mobilize the wound when transporting someone,
if it is possible to transport them to the hospital versus calling 911.
