Hello, I'm Colin and here are today's headlines live from London with Pinksixty.
Sally Ride, the first lesbian in space, sadly passed away on Monday after battling cancer.
Ride travelled into orbit twice aboard the Challenger shuttle and President Obama called
her a 'National hero'.
A lesbian couple with 2 children have been told they couldn't buy a family ticket at
a theme park in Klagenfurt, Austria because they didn't qualify as a real family.
The Andersrum Kärnten LGBT rights group described the park's rule as 'outrageous'.
Mark Healey joined the Olympic relay in London on Monday, pausing to remember those who have
suffered due to homophobia.
He carried a memento torch to the Admiral Duncan pub in Soho, which was bombed in 1999,
killing and maiming many people.
Hundreds attended a vigil for a Nebraskan woman this week, who was tied up, slashed
with the word '***' and then left to burn in her home as it was set alight.
The three assailants escaped and police have yet to declare the attack a hate crime.
And finally, The Scissor Sisters have announced tour dates for Australia in September.
The disco divas will be playing Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane and tickets go on sale on August
1st.
That's all from us today. Join us again tomorrow.
