New or Used Restaurant Equiptment, Which Makes More Sense?
Which Will Help Your Restaurant Succeed, New Equiptment or Used?
What's in the kitchen of your restaurant? Naturally the people, and we all want to hire
the best folks we can afford, and of course there's all the equiptment. Needless to say,
if our stoves aren't cooking and our fridge is not keeping stuff cold - we'll be in for
some tough times.
If the restaurant isn't cooking, then it isn't bringing in customers, and if it is not bringing
in customers, then it is surely not making money.
For my money, used kitchen equipment is the only thing I'd ever buy. While a person definitely
has the option of buying new equiptment, used restaurant equiptment can be the better choice
in the already highly risky venture of owning a restaurant.
For example gas ranges, ovens, grills and fryers are all good bets to buy used. Their
electric counterparts are much more risky, with more things that can break without it
being obvious. In any case be sure to physically examine the unit and see if you can get a
much better guarantee on electrical equiptment.
It's smart to have some sort of warranty attached to what you buy but this may be hard to obtain,
as generally second hand restaurant equiptment is offered on an as is basis, meaning that
as soon as you haul it out the door it's yours no matter what goes wrong with it. So be careful,
don't put yourself at risk when you are trying to save money - it's a fine line. Generally
commercial restaurant gear is very durable and it's easy to replace any little components.
Just like everything in business, be prepared to get burned once in a while - just not too
often.
As with any other investment in your business it's essential to weigh the pros and cons
cautiously before investing buying anything, especially something used that you will depend
on day in and day out.
Perhaps one of the best and worst things about the restaurant business is the high rate of
turnover. Opening a restaurant could go either way. So, the high rate of turnover is definitely
bad for the failing restaurant owner. However, it can be god news for you, because there
may be excellent used restaurant equiptment for sale at a good price.
There is always good used restaurant equiptment for sale on the market. Whether it is pizza
ovens, industrial washers, or stoves that are needed for a new burger joint or white
table cloth restaurant, used restaurant equiptment is available for all purposes.
So, even though that new Hobart gas range might look extra shiny and silver in the store
window, even though that new gas fired fryer doesn't have a single drop of grease on the
edge, remember there is some gently used equiptment available for sale online in your area.

And the savings achieved show up on your bottom line!
Considering a wide selection of used restaurant equiptment before making a decision we are
more likely to make the best choice. The Internet allows us to easily research our buying options
in advance so we can move forward with confidence when considering used restaurant equipment
in Denver. For my money, used restaurant equiptment is the only thing I'd ever buy. While a person
definitely has the option of buying new equiptment, used restaurant equiptment can be the better
choice in the already highly risky venture of opening a new restaurant. Remember the
motto, never pay retail, well this applies to the things you buy for your restaurant
too.
