PRESENTER: Nikolay Fomich is already 70 years old and he has finally accepted that one shouldn’t keep his money in a hat.
NIKOLAY FOMICH: Lemme get some shares of that fancy AO MMM! Yeah, that’s one strange piece of paper.
[1 week later]
PRESENTER: Nikolay Fomich had to return for his money.
ELIZAVETA ANDREEVNA: So you’re saying that we’ve invested 10 and get 15 instead?
PRESENTER: That’s a nice bonus to your pension! AO MMM.
PRESENTER: Nikolay Fomich had to return to the office of MMM once again. To what do we owe the pleasure?
NIKOLAY FOMICH: We decided to go all-in and invest both of our pensions! Why not?
PRESENTER: That’s a wise decision! AO MMM.
PRESENTER: And these are our old friends: Nikolay Fomich and Elizaveta Andreevna! And what are they doing?
ELIZAVETA ANDREEVNA: We’re packing some food to mail to our kids. First they were helping us and now—we’re helping them!
NIKOLAY FOMICH: We’re able to do that thanks to the MMM shares!
N.F. AND E.A.: Our sweetest children! As soon as MMM shares appear in Barnaul, don’t hesitate and buy them on the spot!
PRESENTER: Parents wouldn’t give you bad advice! AO MMM.
PRESENTER: Well-well! These are Nikolay Fomich and Elizaveta Andreevna! How’ve you been? What’s new? And who’s that?
E.A. AND N.F.: So what? We don’t need much! Now we’re helping those who are in need.
We try to help our neighbor, an old lady from across the hall. And we got ourselves a dog!
PRESENTER: Well, that’s nice to hear! AO MMM.
PRESENTER: Elizaveta Andreevna and Nikolay Fomich had Maria over for a cup of tea. They’re showing her pictures of their kids.
ELIZAVETA ANDREEVNA: I can’t hold it in any longer! You’re so kind, you’re so pretty! You have such amazing eyes!
NIKOLAY FOMICH: These aren’t just eyes! These are pearls, that’s what they are!
PRESENTER: They’ll never forget this night! AO MMM.
PRESENTER: Elizaveta Andreevna is alone today. And where’s Nikolay Fomich? What’s new with your life?
ELIZAVETA ANDREEVNA: The life’s good! But the thing is—Nikolay got ill recently. But that’s OK! I’m sure that he’ll get well and everything’s gonna be alright. Just as it had been before!
PRESENTER: We wish you to be happy and healthy. You, Nikolay Fomich and all your loved ones!
PRESENTER: This is Elizaveta Andreevna. And that is Nikolay Fomich—with flowers.
When Nikolay Fomich was in hospital, he was thinking a lot, reminiscing about his life.
And he remembered that in 1945 he got into a military hospital. And one young nurse took very good care of him.
That was how they met. And that’s when they fell in love.
And they started reminiscing...
They found old photos, old letters...And it turned out that they’ve lived quite a life! And they still remembered every single detail.
The memories were so sweet that they’ve even decided to dance.
This is their story, no more, no less.
[The end]
[Apparently, it wasn’t the end]
PRESENTER: Once Nikolay Fomich and Elizaveta Andreevna got a call from their daughter in Barnaul. She worried if they had enough money and food.
NIKOLAY FOMICH: No, you don’t need to send us any money! Better keep saving for that car you wanted!
ELIZAVETA ANDREEVNA: On the fourth of this month we invested one pension in MMM shares and now we get twice as much!
PRESENTER: You raised your kids well: they don’t forget you and take care.
PRESENTER: Every beginning of the month, Vera from social services brings pensions to Elizaveta Andreevna and Nikolay Fomich.
Upon getting their money, the pensioners plan their expenses.
NIKOLAY FOMICH: That’s for the gas, that’s for the phone...
ELIZAVETA ANDREEVNA: And this part—we’ll use to buy some MMM shares.
PRESENTER: Elizaveta Andreevna, Nikolay Fomich! Don’t you have anything else to use that money for?
ELIZAVETA ANDREEVNA: Thanks to these shares we make 140 and even 150 thousand!
