There is a constant or law in evolution
Circumstances and environment form the individual
And only the fittest survive (Charles Darwin)
High atop a craggy cliff
guarded by an army of fierce warriors,
stands the fortress of the evil warlord "Akuma"
Deep within his palace,
Akuma gloats over his lovely captive "Mariko"
Three suitors set forth to rescue her
The first is her True Love, the second a righteous Monk, the third a loyal Brute
Only one can succeed
This is the way of the Karateka
We've seen enough of this "Mariko held captive" cutscene
Time to start for what we always wanted, so Game On!
Tutorial zone, pay respect first even to opponent
Still we don't know how her flowers can be spread throughout the warlord's land
Can the maiden Mariko fulfill her dream this time now? Time will tell
And now, his matter of life or death starts
"Multiple Block" lesson could prevent the opponent's trick
So player can stay alive longer
And gain the "remained full" score bonuses
Practice to unleash the inner "Chi"
Press and the opponent stunned by one blow, then up to player to continue the hit for 6 times
From now on, player will fight to build up the inner "Chi"
Circle at left corner is "Chi" builder
Grow that up by perform the fight well
Fought well, and so the inner "Chi" becomes full again
No time to lose now!
Still over 25 opponents away from the great Warlord
You can close the CC to avoid several spoilers ahead
Hit hard or harder, the choice is YOURS
Unlike Jafar's Iago, this hawk knows how to crash and kill
A drunken opponent who knows how to add himself more strength
Extract from the flowers will build up the inner "Chi" if player's strength is still full
"Knock Three Times" VS "Knock Nine Times"
Perhaps the easiest opponent yet
First true Boss
One down, two to go, flawless
This opponent may not the first to perform quick attack launch
This opponent is quite "hard to catch up with"
You'll also need to expect some counter from him, but try to block them all!
This opponent actually can perform "Chopsticks Kick"
Player can avoid it by unleash the inner "Chi", and make the "6 hit" before he does the later attack
Despite knowing opponent's health yet remained (over 6 but not quite 7)
Fought well without hurt, so comes the Perfect Fight score
Think of it as "An Exercise for Mind & Patience"
Phew... Flawless
Second boss, ordered that recent monk to fight with player
Second half
A "quick attack launch yet" opponent
This "Martial on Tree" guy always messed to my nerves
Playing as Mariko's man surely needs more time than two others to attack back and block his attacks
Still I hate those black guys at palace gate
"Extract" from this very location of flower may not one of the flowers with "Least energy" to gain
After all, Patience is a virtue
Know to taste the failure, then find your way to rise up even higher
Now to this "Homage" guy
When you know, and believe
Why fear?
And that's also flawless right from the first met!
A once-defeated boss returns, and he wants to "Rematch"
Every opponent, just like they're equipped with one same question for how readiness of the player to fight with "Finale Guy"
Rematch is done, Semifinal guy grants the defeat again this time for good!
Only one thing between the maiden and her true love now: Warlord Akuma
No one opposes now, so let this important fight begin!
Second half, a matter of failure or with hope...
Some attacks from opponents may provide gap, for player's chance to attack back more quicker
Hey... Am I spoiled something?
Phew... Like forgot to breath
I decided not to use "Chi", what if this "last ever ditch" effort didn't provided...
And so Mariko's true love saves the damsel in distress, at last
As can see at her face, happier and fulfilled
Mariko's one man with greater destiny than other two faces his destiny now
And that's a true ending, even it's not perfect yet (failed to prevent some attacks)
From the classic to the modern remake
Jordan Mechner really creates games with "Legendary"
According to the game creator, several secrets can be discovered within the game
Even though they're not for cheat the game, otherwise wouldn't be the Karateka way
"Wrong Final" removed from this remake, as well as unable to step backward to fall from cliff
The Karateka Quadrilogy is done this way now, thanks for watching!
