Hi. Good to have you here, because we would like to invite you to the Shell Eco-marathon
Europe 2012.
In case you are unfamiliar with the Shell Eco-marathon.
This is an annual competition in which more than 3,000 students from across Europe design
and build a vehicle to drive as far as possible on as little fuel as possible.
Exceptional distance records have been set.
Most of us get easily 2,000 km on 1 liter of fuel.
We drive using traditional fuels such as diesel and gasoline, but also use alternative
fuels like hydrogen, solar and plug-in batteries.
We work on our vehicle throughout the entire year, using the latest innovative
technologies.
The competition is intense; an exciting mix of success and failure because of course,
everyone wants to win.
For the first time in the history of the challenge a street circuit is the stage for the
Shell Eco-marathon Europe, making this year more challenging than ever before.
The circuit contains no less than five 90 degree turns.
So beside technological innovation, driving skills now play a major role in overall
performance.
How to brake, accelerate and take corners could influence the result by 50%.
Come see for yourself this May at the Ahoy in Rotterdam.
Register now and experience the world of tomorrow.
