Welcome to the Register a Load Balanced vCO lab.
This brief video will guide you through the simple
process of registering an existing vCO Cluster in
the vSphere Web Client. It should be noted that
nodes of the cluster should be configured to use
the same SSO source as the vCenter you wish to register the cluster in.
Launch the Firefox web browser and login to your vSphere Web Client.
Login using your administrative credentials.
I'll use the checkbox to use my current Windows session authentication.
Otherwise I could enter "Corp\Administrator" OR
administrator@corp.local along with my password.
Once logged on, click on vCenter Orchestrator -
In the left pane or over in the right pane.
Next, make sure you have the Manage tab selected
then click on Servers, now select the vCenter
Server you wish to register the cluster with.
For this environment that is the vc-l-01b server.
Once selected, click the "Edit Configuration" link above the table.
Enter the load balanced Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) for your vCO Cluster
and click on Test Connection. For this environment,
the FQDN is vco-lb.rainpole.com
If successful, click OK, then click OK again.
If it was not successful, start by confirming if the FQDN entered is actually valid.
Try browsing to the API docs on it.
For example, in my environment that is https://vco-lb.rainpole.com:8281/vco/api/docs
OK, Good.
Now we can see now that under Inventory lists the vCO servers has changed from 0 to 1.
The vSphere Web Client is now integrated with the vCO server
so it's capable of running vCO workflows.
When you click on the workflows tab on the left-hand side
it will take a moment to get a list of all the available workflows on the vCO server.
Once you've confirmed that you can see the vCO Workflows, you can consider this lab complete.
