Hi everybody, this is Monica Valentine, and this is Entertaining LA. Today, we are going
to be talking about Pasadena Art Night. Pasadena Art Night takes place in Old Town Pasadena,
as well as, other areas around Pasadena. The event has various activities such as dance,
music, food, theatrical, as well as, art. Which includes graphic design 3-D, as well
as, 3-D animation. Here is a segment about Pasadena Art Night. Enjoy. Ahh,the city of
Pasadena. With its bright lights that surrounds city hall. If you live in the Los Angeles
area, or plan on traveling to Los Angeles any time soon, Definitely check out Pasadena
Art Night. Pasadena Art Night happens twice a year. Normally, in the spring and fall of
every year. The event is for everyone , including little children. The event is also free, but
there are certain events and venues that ask for a small donation. City hall is one of
few stops that people can ride the free bus, and travel to certain events of their choice.
You can also drive, walk or take the Metro bus, if you like. Here we go. I decided to
sit back, relax, and enjoy the free ride. Before I got on the bus. I made sure I got
one of these maps. It also includes a description of the different types of events that is going
to be taking place on Pasadena Art Night. The first stop that I went to was dance studio
call "Arc", which is on Colorado street, which is about three blocks away from Pasadena City
College. When I arrived at Arc, they were starting this contemporary dance. For some,
you may think it's easy but trust me you need to be in shape, in order, to do this dance.
I really enjoy this group as they have a combination of rhythmic dance, as well as, karate and
judo. Wooo, let's see that again in slow motion. There were a few museums that have displays
of their art work. But watch out, they'll stop you at the door saying that, "There is
no photography allowed". Luckily, I got couple of good shots. The next stop is the Pacific
Asia Museum. What a beautiful garden they have. This place was very interesting, as
I learned about the different artifacts, and its history that was dated back towards the
Ming dynasty. The
last stop of the evening, was The Armory, which is located on Raymond Ave., which is
about a few blocks from Old town Pasadena. Not only the Armory had arts and crafts. They
had graphic design, as well as, 3-D animation. Yeah, you have to be there, in order, to experience
the graphic designs. For more information about Pasadena Art Night, you can go to www.
artnightpasadena.org if you want to attend the event. Thank you for watching, and I will
see you next time.
