Returning to university can obviously be a very daunting thing but I think if you're
willing to commit yourself and put a lot of time and effort into it, for postgraduate
study, it's certainly a very rewarding exercise. The MBA for me was really obviously about
broadening my opportunities and moving into more of a strategic business management role.
Victoria University was a great place to study because every week we had a different lecturer
who was an industry professional who had given up their time to come in and deliver a lecture.
And it made what was being discussed and what you were studying obviously much more realistic
and much more applicable out in the real world.
What I thoroughly enjoyed about the masters course was the diversity in terms of the subjects
that were undertaken. It was very much practical, not theory-based and very applicable to my
role in the workforce.
The way it was structured that I could continue to work full time and study the course part
time and the fact that it was broken down into several milestones so it felt more realistic
and more achievable.
I feel more confident in my ability to do what my job entails. But it's also given me
the qualifications to enable me to progress through my career.
