David Villa suffered a hard head traumatism. At the end of the match he was feeling dizzy and sick,
and this is a sign of cranial traumatism.
We decided to do a scan and a magnetic resonance on him to rule out any kind of important problem in his brain.
No pathology was found, but as the vomits kept on, we put him under surveillance throughout the night in hospital.
Fortunately, the player is fine but we must be cautious, and he will be resting for about 3 or 4 days,
after which he will train and play back as usual.
We were alarmed by the persistent vomits.
This is a sign of endocranial hypertension, meaning that inside the cranium there's high blood pressure.
We ruled out the presence of any kind of haemorrhage or haematoma.
He started feeling sick in the changing room, so he was taken from there to hospital.
