Bones gets renewed, another 'Office' scene-stealer gets her own show, and Ron Burgundy's big
return. I'm Alex and I've got the scoop in today's Reel TV News.
FOX announced today that they've renewed Bones for an 8th season. That means the long-running
series will get a chance to celebrate the 150th episode landmark. It was rumored at
PaleyFest that the show would be renewed for 2 more seasons, but no official word on that
9th season just yet. Add Kate Flannery to the list of Office castmates
who will probably be too busy for a 9th season. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the comedian
has just landed a hosting gig for a new TV Guide Network stand-up series, called 'StandUp
in Stilettos.' The Office's future continues to look murky with Mindy Kaling, Ed Helms,
Rainn Wilson and more potentially parting ways with the series, but no final decision
has been made just yet. After years of hopeful speculation, 2004's
fan-favorite comedy Anchorman is officially getting its sequel. Will Ferrell dropped by
Conan last night, in full Ron Burgundy get-up, jazz flute and all, and made the dramatic
announcement that there will be a sequel. Do you think Judd Apatow and the gang can
pull it off again? Sound off in the comments, and check back with us tomorrow for more entertainment
buzz. Stay classy, SideReelers.
