so today we have our two thousand (2000 yrs model)
Buick Park Avenue (Pontiac Bonneville identical)
with a thirty eight hundred(3800) series two(2)
and today the instruction manual :-)
we're going to replace the front motor(engine) mount
this right here
that's a very very important motor(engine) mount
for a Transverse engine
Has a matter of fact,
all transverse engine
has a front motor(engine) mount
and that motor(engine) mount
is what keeps the motor(engine/power-train) downs during
forward acceleration
Since in this application
we have a broken motor(engine) mount
The motor(engine) mount is not just the problem
the Motor(engine) mount also cause additional problems to the Drive-line...and...
of the engine and transmission
for example
if you take a close look at the axle
you will notice all the grease coming out of the axle booth
that's because every time
the accelerator is press
while the cars is in drive
the motor will lift up
causing the axle booth to flex
and you will have
grease leakage
Once all the grease comes out of the axle
then it's just a matter of time for the the Bearing(CV) to get destroyed.
also
with a bad motor(engine) Mount could also affect the transmission, Since the motor(engine) it is moving
back and forth in the engine compartment. DUE soon
To a fail Motor(engine) mount
The axle are going to move around in side the transmission housing grenade
On the in side. on the
passenger side we have a differential (LSD = Limited Slip Deferential)
so the axle will cause damages
to the differential
the seal(axle)
and the bushing .On the driver side it will do the same thing, but it will affect
more to bushing
and axle seal
eventually if you keep driving with the broken motor(engine) mount
you will destroy the transmission, you will notice oil leak from the axle seal
and your gonna hear the axle start to make noise make noise
when he turn the steering wheel, left
or to right
during driving(operation in movement)
we`er gonna remove this motor(engine) mount
but before we do that,i want to demonstrate to you
what's actually happening to this motor(engine) mount
so what i`m gonna do is
i'm going to start the engine
i'm going to place two blocks(wheel chocks)
(wheel chocks)
one in front of the wheel
one of the back of the wheel(tire)
preferably on both side of the wheel(tire)
if you have enough chocks to blocked the wheel
once we have the wheel block i'm going to start the engine up i'm going to step
on the brake and hold the brake to the floor
while i engage the transmission in to DRIVE into drive, i will apply
Once the transmission is into DRIVE.i will apply,
lightly gas(pedal)
or accelerator
to watch for movement in the engine
it is wise not to go above fifteen hundred(1500) rpm when doing this TEST
so now i will demonstrates to you what's happening with the motor(engine) mount

Car Care Are HERE.....ENJOY! :-)
Now we gonna look at our motor(engine when we step on the gas
there
so still you can see the movement of the engine
and the transmission
it is very important that you check your motor(engine) mount. by putting the car and drive
apply the brake giving a little gas
check the forward motor(engine) mount
Do the same by putting the transmission in reverse
and you will check the rear motor(engine) mount. apparently you have to go from under
the car
take a look at the rear motor(engine) mount
But.. since the car wasn't drive most of the time
most of the time your front motor(engine) mount is gonna be defective you also have two in
the sides
that will be
right in this area
next to the crankshaft pulley
then you will have another one over here
Below the
engine coolant
reservoir
so
this is part one of my video part two(THERE IS NO PART 2...SORRY)
we're going to show you how to replace him out
