HandBrake is an opensource video transcoder that converts most video formats to modern formats
and reduces the video file size while maintaining its quality. It is available on the web and it’s free!
To get HandBrake, go to handbrake.fr.
If you have a PC running Windows XP, Vista, 7 or 8 operating system, click on the Download Handbrake button.
If you have a Mac or other operating system, click on the Other Platforms link.
If you are prompted to select the bit version and you are not sure which version your PC is running,
from the taskbar, click the Start button, found on the bottom left of your screen.
In the Start menu, click on Computer. Next, click on System properties.
You will find the bit version your Windows computer is running under System, in System type.
After you make your selection, wait for a few seconds for the file, it will download automatically.
After the download is complete, double-click on the file.
The User Account Control dialog box will display asking,
"Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer?" Click, Yes.
Follow the HandBrake setup wizard. Click Next. Click I Agree. Click Install. Last, click Finish.
After HandBrake has finished installing, a shortcut will have been added to your Desktop.
