hi my name is Nina Fuller and I'm one of the attorneys here at Fuller & Fuller I wanted to talk to you
today about a question that I get asked a lot which is
why does my case take so long to settle?
well here's the answer
we only get one chance to settle your case so we want to make sure that we do it right
the insurance company is only going to pay once on your claim they won't pay it in installments
once we take their money
that's the end of that we can never go back for more
we want to make sure that your settlement includes
all of your medical bills that you have
including any medical bills you might incur in the future
how about income loss you might be having income loss in the future too
we want to make sure that's included
here's the key
ask your doctor
if he thinks
that he is ready to release you from care the insurance company wants to settle your
claim just as soon as they possibly can
well of course they do it's very much in their interest to give you a quick settlement and
never have to pay you a penny after that
but that's not in your best interest
what is in your best interest is to make sure that your doctor releases you from care
is to make sure that we have a good idea about what kind of future care you're
going to need
what kind of disability you're going to have in the future
they need to pay for that as well
