So for the next part of our project we are going to be using wire and there are a few
things you should know. It is best to have an adult supervision or an actual adult helping
you do this project. We are using a 30 gage wire which is pretty thin and malleable but
we are going to use either scissors or wire cutters to cut. Now if a child is doing this
on their own I recommend that they are wearing safety goggles because a stray piece of wire
could go flying and we don't want to have any eye injuries. Also this wire is very long
and wiry and can sometimes get a little out of hand so what I want to do is cut small
pieces of wire and we do that by holding the tip to make sure that it doesn't go anywhere
and cutting it off there. When we are using the wire cutters we want to make sure that
we use either the tip or the middle section because the inside will not cut so we want
to make sure that we are really careful with cutting and if it is a thin wire like this
we could probably get away with using scissors. Any lower gage, a 20 gage would be a little
bit harder to use and would require the wire cutters.
