Yo, we are here at That Spirit Jam volume 2 in Macau.
I am pleased to present bboy Astro
Just a month ago you went to the world finals of R16 in Korea, can you talk about your experiences?
Actually after going to R16 I feel like I still have so much more to learn.. because
R16 is one of the biggest jams in the world, so you will see many high-level bboys..
Then you will notice that the way they dance is very different from the way you dance..
You might get a little bit depressed..
Depressed..
Yea, because I am not one of those dynamic blowup bboys..when you go onto the big stage
like that..compared to those dynamic bboys.. you won't be so noticable.
But I feel like as a bboy you should be able to battle in any type of competiton-
whether it is a big stage, cypher battle or underground battle..you have to know
So I must learn more in this direction,
even though I have been dancing for more than 10 years -
But I still have so many things that I don't know how to do
As well as in this bboy culture I have to experience more
So what are your dreams or aspirations for the bboy / hiphop culture in macau ?
Actually I have been wanting this for a few years already.
Always hoping that the level of Macau will get better year after year
But this thing cannot be done by me alone, it has to be done with the help of everybody
Not just people in Macau supporting us, but everybody from different places as well
Thats the only way for us to increase our level
and it's true for any place in the world
It was such a rare chance for me to get to R16, I was really nervous when I got up there
And I let it get to me, the result of that was I didn't do as well as I wanted -
Which is not what I am normally like
Ah, there is such a big difference in level..
YEAH..KEEP GOIN
